If parents were wondering what field trip their 7th to 12th grade students were on, they needed to look no further than iFAIR which was held on May 6 at Mequon Campus. The motto was "Experience the Future." It was standing room only as students explored and learned about the new hip technology and various programs offered at the college.

They brushed shoulders with instructors and representatives from organizations such as GE Healthcare, Quad Graphics and Johnson Controls.

MATC instructors John Kress and Alain DeMars were enthralling the IT world's new crop of talent with their "hands-on" exhibits.

There were brochures galore highlighting the career opportunities that come with an Associate in Applied Science degree, from Animation and Graphic Design to IT Information Security Specialist and IT Programmer/Analyst.

Kress was busy showing endless groups of future computer czars an interactive project, "that is still in the development stages." Just a few feet away, when asked what the excitement was at his booth, DeMars replied, "We are viewing a new gaming program that my students designed in six weeks." Look out Silicon Valley!
