There have been statements concerning sexual assaults and verbal abuses at the Downtown Milwaukee Campus by women. One female, not wanting her name mentioned, told of situations of men approaching her, quite persistently.
When she expressed she was not interested, the comments turned abusive. She even tried to say she had a boyfriend, but even with that, she was hit with the "B" word.
This woman also expressed witnessing these men trying to lure women to more secluded areas, where cameras and people are not found, with the possibility of doing harm. Because of this, she has decided to avoid taking classes at the Downtown Milwaukee Campus.
Yet, there was a sexual assault against a male student at the Downtown Milwaukee Campus in October, according to a report by Public Safety.
Public Safety Specialist Gary Morimoto reported that an instructor approached him with a male student. The student had told the instructor the he was sexually assaulted in the men's bathroom in the C Building.
Pubic Safety said the student said the suspect opened the bathroom door, "and touched his penis." He said the suspect asked him if he had to go to class, and if he had to leave. Then the suspect left.
The report said the male student described the suspect as six feet tall, a black male with a beard and medium to dark complexion. He said the suspect was wearing "business attire."
According to the report, the student had said that he had seen the suspect before, but they had only talked. No one has been arrested at this time.
Public Safety also reported a situation at the West Allis Campus. A student reported that someone was "peeping" behind the handicapped stall in the men's bathroom.
After receiving the information, Specialist Whitlow went into the bathroom and "knocked on the last stall facing the urinals." According to the report, Specialist Whitlow heard the suspect "pull off his pants and flush the toilet."
The report states that the suspect was not a student, and claimed he was just there to use the bathroom. Specialist Whitlow then told the suspect to leave the campus and not return unless he was conducting MATC business. The suspect left without incidence.

Maybe its about time the school enforces a policy of making students wear their student id's around their neck and having security actively check people for a student ID. (Continued…)

Gosh i know i heard from many of my friends
that they constantly been harrassed by men
and i have been too, i was even called a bitch for ignoring them
and this happened to me just today!
there should be a HUGE security crack down especially on the sexual harassment/assult becoz it gives
the school a bad name, and if international students
go there, then they will get a horrible experience there
so something should really be done i mostly speak
from first hand experience there and being a girl
sometiems, as weird as it sounds i get scared to be there alone
when there is a huge group of men

I myself have looked into attending a different school to finish my degree. I don't feel safe at MATC anymore. I leave my car out in a parking lot for 5-6 hours a day thinking our lots are patrolled but they aren't. (Continued…)
